Finished work today - Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I walked out and never looked back. This afternoon I had two classes. One group were lovely - a really low ability year 9 class. They made me cards and told me how much they'd miss me. Then I had top set year 8 and they were a nightmare! I'd bought them a present but they pissed me off so I brought their presents home and we ate them!!
The presentation yesterday wasn't so bad. My head said a few pathetic comments ... Emma is so dedicated.. .. Her exam results are second to none............etc....etc then they gave me a present. I just said thanks and sat down!! Was a really nice pressie - a gift voucher to spend at a spa - Fantastic!
Focussed on planning my party tomorrow now. Just made a lovely choclate trifle and done a bit of tidying up. Will be interesting to see if my sister turns up - there will be trouble if she turns up with her mate - so lets hope she has more sense. She is so self centred that nothing would suprise me. Really don't think she was trying to impress her friend - it was definitely more a case of her telling her mate they could come here and get fed and drunk. Not heard a thing from her - you'd have thought she'd have tried to smooth things over but no not her - I bet she thinks she's done nothing wrong.
Not going to let that spoil my good mood!!

OMG this morning Tomas had the biggest paddy I have ever seen any child have in all my life. All started when we were late for school and I wouldn't get the double buggy out for him to sit in. Told him he had to walk and I would carry Theo. He went balistic! Its only a short walk to school and he is 4. He screamed and shouted... So many people were staring at him and at me. Another mum took Jake into school and I dragged Tomas home. When we got in he was kicking me and so I put him in his bedroom untill he calmed down. I could not believe what happened - still can't! He's been very good all day since!
Had a great time this evening. My mates came around after school and the kids played and we all got merry. Fab. And, my lovely sister didn't put in an appearance!

Was lying in bed feeling really panicy so got up. Worrying loads bout Christmas - still some shopping to get and loads of jobs to do tomorrow plus I've got the inlaws to entertain, Tomas' nativity at nursery, the crib service, and annual village carol service. Its too much for my brain to cope with. Terrified of forgetting something, so I've just written a list. Tesco's opens in half an hour so I might get dressed and get that job out of the way.
Theo is up now. Its half eleven. He's not a well little chap. Given him a dose of calpol. Spent ages up with him on Fri night, but he slept better on Sat night. He's full of cold.
Better stop doing this and look after him....

Thank u Jay n WG! Hope you've had a good Christmas.
Christmas Eve was rubbish. Theo up most of the night so I was really tired. Had the inlaws all day! And, Theo poorly all day too. I phoned the dr's at midday and the dr saw him in the afternoon. He gave him some antibiotics for him. Then an hour or so later he phoned and said can you come back with Theo. He'd noticed something wrong on Theo's stomach but didn't want to say anything untill he'd spoken to a pedritrician. His muscles across his stomach are in two parts and they shouldn't be. The dr at hospital is going to see him, but he expxlained to us how dangerous for Theo this could be, and told us what to look out for - Great news.
Once we finally got kids to bed about 8, we had to build a play house - not as easy as it looks! Finally got to bed but then Theo up again at half 4. And when he settled the other two were up to see what Santa had brought.
Been so tired I've been a bit of a mardy cow. We went to my parents for lunch - but they have 3 dogs. My boys are terrified of them so that was hard work. My brother who suffers from schizoprenia was there and acting 'odd'. He came and sat at the table, picked his fork up and prodded his food then buggered off without eating a thing. My boys are starting to ask questions about him as they realise he's ill in some way.
Oh well. Looking for some positive things to say ... The kids had a good Christmas. They got all they wanted from Father Christmas and have gone to bed very happy. Theo seems a bit better today than yesterday. And, I've escaped the in-laws party tomorrow - Yeah!!!
Merry Christmas!

Went to my parents house on Boxing Day. Didn't feel like going but said I'd go for lunch so I made the effort. Got hugely pissed off though when I got there at half one and they were lounging around in their PJs and so was my sister and her boyfriend. Then they decided to make their breakfast and I was speechless - I'd been up since the crack of dawn with the 3 kids! Finally got some lunch at half four then I went home.
Walked in the house and I got mega depressed. There was mess everywhere from Christmas and I wished I'd not gone out and stayed in and done it all. Things sort of went downhill from there. Started to feel ill, and later in the evening was really sick. Been feeling rubbish since.
Going with 3 friends and my sister to a really luxurious health spa tomorrow. Hope I'm feeling better for that. Been looking forward to my day of relaxation for ages. Its so long overdue.

Hi Emma
Really hope you are well enoug for your sa tomorrow! Sounds fab! Wish I could come too! I bet a good nights sleep will help you knock this bug thing on the head.
Sorry Boxing Day didnt go so great. My whole problem with this time of year is that we seem to have to do things we dont want to do and be with people we dont want to be with!
Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow and please report back with how it goes xxx

Yeah I totally agree WG - it would be so much easier if we didn't have to spend so much time trying to keep everyone else happy. What we want to do somehow gets lost in the fog of Christmas.
Anyway, I've had an amazing day today. We went to Ragdale Hall somewhere near Nottingham (I think!). I recommend it to anyone. Was pure relaxation from start to finish and not a child in sight!! There were all these amazing rooms - my favourite was this little pool room lit by candlelight and you could go in and lay in the warm water and listen to chill out music. Had a gorgeous back massage, facial and indian head massage.
Was so nice not to worry about all the rubbish like getting the kids their tea, sorting out the arguements etc etc, and just think about me. This should be available on prescription!!!
So, I'm on a bit of a high tonight. Hope I don't come crashing back down to earth too quickly... Decided I'm going to get saving up so I can go there again.

Been OK over the last 2 days. We've not really done anything.
I've been a bit moody today with OH. Just over stupid things like he didn't sit with the boys at tea time and ... can't even remember what else. But I shouldn't have cos he has done loads of other things like making my tea, doing the ironing and then he took Theo and bathed him. I know a lot of men that wouldn't do any of those things without being asked, and I know I ought to be much more appreciative rather than getting so negative. Sometimes wonder why he wants to be with me. I hope if things were the other way around I'd support him in the same way.
Been thinking a lot about the new year and resolutions and all that rubbish. Find it depressing to think about the last year. Its been so horrible and I can't even remember a lot of it. When I think about the future I find that quite frightening - scared that this time next year I'm going to be sat here still thinking the same. Need to make sure that I'm not I guess.

Hi Emma
Yes, Ragdale Hall rocks! (I live in Nottingham, and you are right, its just up the road!) Glad you had a lovely time, you certainly did pick the best spa!
Know what you mean about the new years resolutions, i try not to think about them as i feel i am somehow putting pressure on myself by making them. But I am certain that 2008 will be the turn around for you, especially now you have work out of the way!
Take Care
