The stress has built up over the last few days I am not coping well at all, I can feel myself slipping right back and the more I go the more horribe symptoms come too. I am shaking I am like a ag of nerves atm. I am terrified I am going to go right back where I was. The CBT counciler phoned me on Tuesday, she said she had spoke with her collegues and they decided that she couldn't take my course as they felt I needed a more intense course, I was pretty deflated as I have to wait to be refered again now, I had been banking on this helping me, sort of holding onto it as the only thing I had left. Suppose I shoud be gratful they should know what they are doing, I just hope I get an appointment fast now. I am getting chest pains with the stress, they scare the hell out of meand make my anxiety worse. I just hope I can get through the rest of the day without breaking down, I am on the edge now I want to cry but I still cant

Oh hun, sorry things are pants. Try lying down and deep breathing to calm yourself down a bit. It's a vicious circle - you get a bit stressed, start getting physical symptoms which stresses you out further. It sounds like a blip - a bad patch - and that is very common with pni even part of the recovery process. You 've ben doing brilliantly and will again.
Very frustrating for you re: cbt - might be worth asking if they could prioritise you seeing as you've already had to wait once for cbt?
Take the day in chunks and don't think ahead - you will get through itx

How Gail How have you been today? As Mon says, it sounds like a blip. Horrible as they are it will pass again. The good thing is they recognise you need cognitive help and again as Monica says maybe ring them and ask how long the wait will be. Sending you lots of strength xx

Hang on in there - gp should be able to give you advice. How has today been?
Symptoms r horrible when they return so big hugs. It's been about one week I think that u have felt rubbish? It could well be a blip - they can feel dreadful after a good spell, doubly bad even as you've tasted feeling well again. But things will pick up for you. I know ur struggling to get out ATM but do try maybe with someone else. A breath of fresh air and burning off that nervous energy can help.
Good luck for tomorrowx

Thanks, Still been as bad today, but I've just got back from the gps and she was really good with me, she sat with me with a pen and paper and wrote down all my symptoms, I actually felt like I was finally being listened to. She thinks alot of my symptoms are pointing to Thyroid, so I've had some blood taken and get the results back on Tuesday. I dont know how to feel about it , I dont know if I am scared or relieved. She mentioned its quite comon after pregnancy, anyone else had thyroid problems ?

Hey Gail Sorry to hear you've been suffering again. As Monica says, it could just be a blip but its always good to rule other things out too. Great that your gp is listening to you and taking you seriously. I had tests for thyroid too x

Hey Gail Yes the thyroid stuff came back normal for me but I am a huge beliver that for me personally, my depression and anxiety is extremely hormone led.....it is extremely hard to accept you have depression and it has taken me really to this point (after suffering on and off for 10 years) to accept that it is part of my life. I still don't like it but i have learnt ways to cope with the bad times which makes it that little bit easier. Ofcourse, everyone is different and this is a very recoverable illness if you get to it early enough and get the correct treatment. Good luck with the tests xx

Hi, this illness is so cruel. This is such a cruel painful illness and it hurts so much. Many many people I know have fully recovered. In my case I have been very ill, I know I am lucky to have survived but I am recovering and so will you. Keep talking to us and sorry I have been a bit absent

Sorry to hear about the exhaustion...it can be truely debilitating i know. Having my period alway makes me feel 10 times worse though so that could be why some of your symptoms are back again. Hope the week picks up for you x
